Store Manager

Location: Edinburgh
Salary: £29,500–£32,000 plus bonus
Hours: 40 hours per week

Overview of Position
Are you a hands-on retail leader with strong technical skills, a passion for technology, and a drive to deliver results? At iSmash, we help customers get back online fast when their devices fail. We combine technical expertise with genuine care to turn a stressful moment into a positive experience. We are looking for a confident and driven Store Manager to take full ownership of a busy repair store. In this role, you will balance leadership, commercial performance, and hands-on technical work. This role reports to the Field Support Manager.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

* Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team through coaching and regular feedback

* Create a positive and supportive environment where colleagues feel valued and engaged

* Deliver exceptional customer experiences through professional and solution-focused service

* Take full ownership of store performance, including sales, KPIs, and profitability

* Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, maintaining high standards of execution and safety

* Take a hands-on role in completing high-quality repairs on smartphones and tablets

* Oversee repair workflow, ensuring quality, efficiency, and turnaround times

* Manage stock, including repair components and accessories

* Handle escalated customer issues and ensure positive outcomes

* Build local partnerships to drive footfall and grow brand awareness

What are the requirements needed for this position?

* Ability to lead, engage, and develop a team while leading from the front

* Confidence balancing hands-on technical work with management

* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

* Commercial awareness and focus on delivering results

* Organised and able to manage multiple priorities including repairs and customers

* Clear and confident communication skills with a customer-first approach

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

* Broader experience across device repairs

* Experience in Assistant Manager or Store Manager roles

* Knowledge of the telecoms or mobile technology sector

* Experience managing stock, KPIs, or promotional activity

* Interest in technology and problem solving

* Experience supporting or mentoring others in technical skills
