STOCK CONTROLLER – WINDOW & DOOR MANUFACTURING

Chase Taylor Recruitment are working on behalf of an established and successful window and door manufacturing company who are looking to recruit an experienced Stock Controller to join their team.

This is a key role within the business, responsible for ensuring stock is accurately controlled, available when required and effectively managed to support the production operation. Previous experience within the window and door, uPVC, aluminium or similar manufacturing sector is vital for this position.

THE ROLE

As Stock Controller, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and control of stock across the manufacturing operation. Your responsibilities will include:

Monitoring and maintaining accurate stock levels across profiles, hardware, glass, foils and other manufacturing components.

Ensuring materials are available to support production schedules and customer orders.

*

Carrying out regular stock checks and investigating discrepancies.

*

Managing stock movements, goods-in and goods-out processes.

*

Working closely with Purchasing, Production, Planning, Stores and Warehouse teams.

*

Identifying stock shortages and raising issues where materials may impact production.

*

Monitoring stock usage and helping to maintain appropriate stock levels.

*

Maintaining accurate records and updating stock management systems.

*

Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies and system errors.

*

Supporting stock takes and maintaining good housekeeping and organisation within stock areas.

*

Ensuring materials are correctly identified, stored and controlled.

ABOUT YOU

Experience is vital. We are looking for someone who has a strong understanding of stock control within a window and door manufacturing environment. You will ideally have knowledge of products such as uPVC or aluminium profiles, hardware, foils and other components used within window and door production.

You will be organised, methodical and confident working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong attention to detail is essential, along with the ability to identify potential stock issues before they affect production. Good communication skills are required as you will work closely with multiple departments to ensure materials are available at the right time.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Proven Stock Controller experience within window and door manufacturing – essential

*

Knowledge of uPVC, aluminium profiles, hardware and foils

*

Strong understanding of stock control and inventory management

*

Experience with stock systems / ERP or MRP systems

*

Excellent attention to detail

*

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

*

Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines

*

Good communication and teamwork skills

*

Proactive approach to identifying and resolving stock issues
