Stock Accountant
12-month FTC
Up to £55,000 plus bonus, on-site parking, benefits.
Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days home
37.5 hours, flexible working with core hours 10 am to 3 pm

T2M are recruiting a Stock Accountant, on behalf of our international retail client, working as part of the broader operational finance team, as Stock Accountant you will line manage a team of three Stock Assistants, whilst building strong relationships with the commercial and operational network within the fast-growing business.
Responsibilities:
* Be responsible for the efficient & accurate accounting of stock to include:
* Daily stock process ensuring true stock position
* Balance sheet reconciliation
* Month-end reporting
* Analysis to management
* Forecasting and budgeting processes
* Ensure strong internal controls, system, and data interrogation to enable operational efficiency.
* Manage FX/Hedging requirement information provision and reporting.
* Manage stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of stock accounting in Supply Chain, Trading and Logistics and the impact on the wider business in relation to P&L.
* Compliance, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of data, in line with Group reporting and compliance statutory accounting and other returns.
Requirements to be a successful Stock Accountant:
* Qualified accountant.
* Experience of stock accounting and reporting is highly desirable.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively across the business.
* Intermediate Excel skills as a minimum.
* Ability to analyse and interrogate high volumes of data to guide commercial decisions, whilst maintaining a focus on attention to detail.
* Ability to develop solutions to problems and identify process improvement opportunities.
* Experience of CODA GL and Oracle BI would be an advantage.
