Role: Steel Market Research Analyst

Salary: Dependent on experience

Location: Sheffield

Our client is seeking a dynamic Steel Market Research Analyst to join their team, based in modern offices at the heart of Sheffield. This role is pivotal to maintaining the companies reputation for accuracy and integrity in the global steel market. If you're passionate, detail-oriented and driven with experience in the steel industry, we invite you to apply.

If you are presently employed in the steel sector or have steel industry experience in a sales, purchasing, or related field, we would like to hear from you. Many of the research team come from similar roles in the steel industry and have transitioned smoothly into their positions here.

Duties within the role:

* Develop new, and maintain existing, relationships with industry experts.

* Monitor global steel market trends and regulations.

* Collect, verify and analyse market data.

* Communicate market intelligence effectively. This could include the use of foreign languages where applicable, though this is not essential.

* Write and contribute to the business publications and news articles.

* Maintain data confidentiality and integrity.

* Regular interaction with research partners and industry stakeholders to maintain up-to-date market knowledge and data.

* Collaborate internally to support market analysis.

* Active participation in industry conferences, seminars and events to expand professional networks and promote the business.

* Address client enquiries and provide expert recommendations regarding the steel market.

* Maintain strong relationships with research partners and clients. Safeguard the confidentiality of information received.

* Manage and update your own list of research partners.

* Collaborate with price and editing teams to ensure data accuracy.

The successful candidate:

* Experience and expertise in the steel market or a closely related field is essential for this role.

* High attention to detail and the ability to scrutinise steel prices, with in-depth knowledge of the steel pricing structure.

* Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in a foreign language highly regarded.

* An ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
