Steel Processing Operator
Location: Dudley, West Midlands
Salary: £13-£14 per hour
Hours: Rotating shifts (6:00am–2:00pm / 2:00pm–10:00pm, with flexibility for extended shifts during busy periods)

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for experienced an Operator to join a well-established steel processing company based in Dudley. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a busy production team, operating large-scale steel coil processing machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will have ideally have previous experience operating slitting and/or decoiling machinery and be committed to producing high-quality work while maintaining excellent health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate large-scale slitting and decoiling machinery safely and efficiently.
* Set up and run machinery to meet production schedules and quality standards.
* Carry out quality inspections throughout the production process.
* Ensure production targets and deadlines are achieved.
* Lead by example and assist with training new members of the team.
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping and health & safety.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth production operations.
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience operating slitting, decoiling or coil processing machinery is essential.
* Experience within a steel, metal processing or manufacturing environment.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication skills.
* Flexible approach to working hours to meet business demands.
* Health & Safety conscious.
Desirable
* 5S knowledge and experience.
* FLT (Forklift Truck) licence or experience.
* Overhead Crane (OHC) experience.
