Spray Painter / Shotblaster

Description:

My client is seeking a Spray Painter / Shotblaster to join their thriving business on a temporary ongoing basis.
The role is to support within the manufacturing process to exceed customer expectations and fulfil all requirements. Experience within a similar role is preferable however extensive training will be provided.
Duties to include –
1. Work in compliance with paint and surface preparation work instructions.
2. Maintain technical equipment ensuring good working order.
3. Safely store and dispose of chemical waste.
4. Maintain manufacturing documentation and MRP transactions.
5. Champion continuous improvements to assist in overcoming problems and make recommendations to the following-
1. Product improvement. (May involve A3 projects)
2. Reduce cost by utilising tools and equipment to their full potential.
3. (Standard work/Set up reduction/waste minimisation.)
6. Work in a clean and tidy manner (5S/TPM).
Experience and Skills desirable -
* Previous paint spraying experience including shot blasting desired.
* EHS & COSHH
* Team player
* IT competent
* Proficiency with technical machinery
* Diligence and attention to detail
* Good organizational skills
* Good communication
* ISO9001
