Specialist Speech and Language Therapist - SEMH
Interim On-Site Role
Initial 3 months
London
£250-£300 per day
Inside IR35

As a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist for SEMH, you will be providing a specialist speech and language therapy service to schools within a London based local authority. You will have a caseload of young people with specialist speech and language therapy treatment plans with whom you will be assessing and developing and will be reporting into the Principal Speech and Language Therapist.

Your Role as Specialist Speech and Language Therapist - SEMH

Planning, assessing, diagnosing, and delivering interventions for young people in special school with a range of needs within language, speech, and communication.
Providing specialist intervention and evaluated outcomes.
Provide training, advice, and support to colleagues in areas of specialism such as ASD, Epilepsy, Speech, and Language
Work directly with schools and setting through a range of interventions.
Work with families of young people, the local authority, and schools to offer advice, support, and explanations. 
 
Your previous experience as Specialist Speech and Language Therapist - SEMH

HCPC Registered
You will have experience supporting and supervising trainee Speech and Language Therapists
You will have experience working in maintained or independent special schools.
Experience of working with pupils with special educational needs (SEN) in education.
You will understand current legislation and guidance in relation to SEN and educational inclusion.
You will have a specialist understanding of young people with either Social, Emotional and Mental Health, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Additional Educational Needs or Specific Speech and Language Impairment.If you’re interested in discussing this opportunity in more detail or know someone who this may be of interest to, please contact Claudia Cafferata on (phone number removed) or apply today.
