Junior Specification Technologist

Norfolk/Suffolk Border

£27,000

Job Purpose:

As a Specifications Technologist, you will work closely with Technical Managers to ensure accurate and precise product information, while maintaining direct customer interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Specification Management:
Produce and maintain new and existing product specifications in a timely manner, ensuring quality standards.
Format specifications to meet individual customer requirements.
Maintain signed specifications (manual/electronic) for all stages of product manufacture, with periodic reviews.
Technical Support:
Assist the Product Development team during factory trials, pre-productions, and product launches.
Ensure familiarity with all retailer online systems to produce finished product specifications.
Routinely review and update specifications for accuracy and relevance.
Provide technical ownership of products from development handover to launch.
Internal Coordination:
Lead and organize internal specifications to keep all records current.
Complete, document, and verify internal audits against the internal audit plan.Principal Accountabilities:

Reporting directly to the Technical Manager, the Specifications Technologist is responsible for the creation, updating, and review of product specifications.

Key Working Relationships:

Internal: Collaborate with colleagues at all levels.
External: Interface with suppliers and customers at all levels.Competencies:

Experience: Minimum one year in a similar role with experience in customer specification systems.
Knowledge: Familiarity with HACCP & Food Safety principles. Knowledge of relevant legislation is desirable.
Qualifications: GCSE English & Math or equivalent.
Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Must be a team player.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
