Specification Sales Manager – Building Automation
Job Title: Specification Sales Manager – Building Automation
Industry Sector: Smart Home, Electrical Engineering, Home Automation, Building Automation, Commercial Projects, Custom Applications, MEP Consultants, M&E Consultants and M&E Contractors
Area to be covered: National – one day per week in the office (South East)
Remuneration: £65,000 + 10-15% bonus year one, £6 figure OTE year two

The role of the Specification Sales Manager – Building Automation will involve:
* Field sales position promoting a manufactured range of building and home automation
* National role, you will spend 4 days per week out on the road in front of customers, one day working from our clients’ South East based office, making calls and setting appointments
* 50% of the role will focus on developing relations with MEP consultants and M&E consultants
* Remaining 50% developing relationships with M&E contractors
* You will inherit a project pipeline of circa £3.5m and will be expected to grow this to £5m in your first year
* No revenue target in the first 6 months, then £500k and £1m in the following year
* Circa 70% of your revenue will come via approx. 1000 installer partner relationships, 30% from your own network and business development activity
The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager – Building Automation with:
* Must have specification field sales experience
* Knowledge of smart homes, home Automation or building automation is not required
* Open to most HVAC, Lighting, building services and other associated electrical field sales backgrounds
* Network of contacts within MEP consultants, M&E consultants and M&E contractors would be advantageous
* Must be comfortable with one day a week on the phone in the office
* IT Literate
* Tonnes of drive, will suit someone on the up in the career
