Description:

Supporting those who struggle with homelessness is your 's something that runs right through you, to your core.

How about being there for those who also struggle with multiple complex needs, in a specialist charitable service based in Cardiff.

Taking a leading support role on a programme that is there to help solve the most complex of cases.

What will you do?

Design and deliver a range of in-house support provision, tailored to those you support.
Work with other agencies and services across Cardiff.
Signpost clients to the relevant providers to ensure all needs are addressed.
Keep up to date with changes to legislation to improve your own practice.
Support other members of staff and assist in their development.
Effectively keep records and case notes.
Function alongside the management team to assist with supervisory duties.What are the other details?

This is a 3 month temporary contract to start (may be extended in to the future).
Salary of £29,598 (equivalent to £14.28 per hour).
40 hours per week - full time.
3 week shift rota that includes the following: 7am to 3.30pm / 8am to 4.30pm / 11.30am to 8pm.
NO overnight shifts.
Average of 1 weekend every 3 weeks.
Working for one the UK's largest and best-known homelessness charities.
Cardiff City Centre based. What do we need?

A strong understanding of adult homelessness and it's causes.
Experience of working with those who have multiple complex needs (for example: substance misuse, mental health issues, entrenched homelessness etc.).
The ability to work in a emotionally demanding role.
Able to keep accurate notes and manage the admin that comes with the sector.
Be non-judgemental, compassionate and empathetic.
Able to connect with others, to win their trust.
