Specialist Support Assistant

A specialist school based in Chorley, PR6 require specialist support assistants to support their students. The school strives to provide a caring, structured learning environment in which all pupils can develop academically, socially, emotionally and morally to their full potential. 

As a Support Assistant your role will be to provide support for the pupil in your care with both their educational and holistic development. Each pupil will have an ECH Plan, your role is to ensure this is adhered to, to provide the highest quality care possible for the pupil. Your general role is to ensure the pupils needs are met however you will be required to support the class teacher with setting up lessons and ensuring the classroom environment is safe and pupils are fully supported. 

Key Information -

Full time availability, Monday to Friday.
Term-time only role.
PAYE contract.
Secondary provision.
£12.90+ based on experience and additional duties.
Chorley based, PR6.
Key Duties -

Support in the planning and evaluation of learning and activities. 
Provide sufficient feedback on pupils progress and development.
Support the teacher in monitoring, assesing and recording pupils porgress.
Promote pupils social, emotional and behavioural development. 
Manage and deescelate challenging baheviour effectively.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
