Supply Desk is working with a specialist school in Burnham that is seeking an enthusiastic SEND Teacher to join their dedicated team. The school supports pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and a range of associated needs, delivering a highly personalised curriculum designed around each learner's strengths, interests, and aspirations.

The Successful Candidate Will:

✅ Deliver engaging and accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.

✅ Support pupils to develop communication, social interaction, and independence skills.

✅ Create learning opportunities through sensory activities, practical experiences, and real-world contexts.

✅ Contribute to EHCP targets and personalised learning plans.

✅ Build positive relationships with pupils, families, carers, and external professionals.

✅ Work collaboratively with support staff to ensure every pupil receives the highest level of support.

✅ Monitor and celebrate progress through meaningful assessment and observation.

✅ Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

We'd Love to Hear from You If You Have:

Experience working with pupils with SLD, complex learning needs, ASD, or PMLD.
QTS or significant experience within SEND education.
A genuine passion for inclusive teaching and personalised learning.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A calm, patient, and resilient approach.
The ability to adapt lessons and resources creatively to meet a wide range of needs.
Extra Skills That Would Be Advantageous

Knowledge of Makaton, PECS, AAC, or alternative communication systems.
Experience within a specialist school or SEND provision.
Understanding of sensory-based learning approaches.
Experience supporting pupils with EHCPs.
Team Teach or Positive Behaviour Support training.
