Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Do you thrive in a role where you can provide personalised learning and see the direct impact of your support?
Prospero Teaching is looking for dedicated and compassionate SEND Tutors to deliver high-quality 1:1 tuition to students across the Wirral. This is a rewarding opportunity to help learners overcome barriers to education, build confidence and achieve meaningful academic and personal progress.
Every student is unique, so you'll have the opportunity to create tailored learning programmes that reflect their individual strengths, needs and learning style. Sessions may take place in students' homes, schools, community settings or other agreed locations.
Position Details
* Location: Wirral
* Position: SEND Tutor
* Hours: 5-15 hours per week (flexible to suit your availability)
* Start Date: September 2026
* Contract: Ongoing
What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from tutors who have:
* A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE or equivalent) or substantial tutoring experience
* Experience supporting children and young people with SEND, including those with EHCPs or additional learning needs
* A background in delivering engaging 1:1 tuition or small-group interventions
* The ability to adapt teaching strategies to suit different learning styles and abilities
* Excellent communication skills and a calm, patient and encouraging approach
To Be Eligible, You Must:
* Have the Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
* Be able to provide two professional references relating to your work with children or young people
