Specialist Coach – Domestic Abuse

RSR Justice are currently recruiting on behalf of an organisation based in Bedford for a Specialist Coach – Domestic Abuse.
This organisation provides a safe haven for women and their children fleeing domestic abuse.
This is a part-time (23 hours p/week), permanent role, offering a salary of £13,682.24 per annum (FTE: £23,795.20 per annum).
Main Duties:
* Offer high quality, person centred, and trauma informed safe accommodation and support services to survivors of domestic abuse, enabling them to move on into safe, stable, and positive futures. This is an incredibly rewarding role where you will manage a caseload of customers through their journey and enable them to realise their true potential.
* Work closely with key partners, deliver quality, outcome focused support in both one-to-one and group sessions and providing both emotional and practical support. You’ll support them with keeping safe, healthy relationships, substance use, mental health and wellbeing, finance and budget management and employment skills.
Essential Requirements:
* Hold a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area such as Health & Social Care.
* Have an understanding and experience of the practical, emotional, economic and social issues of those experiencing domestic abuse, particularly those with multiple complex needs and women from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Communities.
* Be experienced in caseload management, with a clear focus on outcomes for customers and their wider community.
* Have experience of completing risk assessments and carrying out robust safety planning.
* Be able to record concise, accurate case notes and support paperwork.
* Understand the effects of domestic abuse related trauma, appropriate responses, and professional boundaries.
* Be able to demonstrate partnership working with specialist agencies such as mental health teams, offending services, and other relevant services.
* Ideally Bangladeshi speaker though will consider Urdu and Punjabi too.
Role is subject to DBS check at the relevant level.
