Special Projects Managing Agent Leasehold Engagement Officer

£43,193 + up to 5% performance bonus

Location: North London + travel to sites

You’re someone who thrives in complex environments, builds trust quickly, and knows how to keep leaseholders informed, reassured and engaged through challenging major works programmes. If you’re ready to play a pivotal role in large‑scale fire safety and latent defect remediation projects, this is a role where your expertise genuinely matters.

The Role

As the Special Projects Managing Agent Leasehold Engagement Officer, you’ll be at the heart of major remedial works programmes — supporting project delivery, shaping communications strategies, and leading resident engagement from start to finish.

You’ll work closely with project managers, contractors, consultants and internal teams to ensure residents receive clear, timely and accurate information throughout the lifecycle of complex building safety and defect rectification projects. You’ll be the trusted point of contact for leaseholders, helping them navigate works, understand key messages, and feel supported throughout.

This role combines project coordination, stakeholder management, resident liaison, and high‑quality communication — ideal for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy and meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

* Support the delivery of major capital latent defect remedial works projects.

* Coordinate communications strategies across fire safety and other defect‑related programmes.

* Lead day‑to‑day resident liaison, ensuring timely updates and high‑quality engagement.

* Produce Resident Liaison Action Plans and manage building‑specific communication programmes.

* Build strong relationships with residents, fostering trust and cooperation.

* Monitor inboxes, respond to enquiries, and maintain accurate records on CRM systems.

* Work with contractors and consultants to ensure consistent, high‑quality resident communications.

* Support Section 20 consultations and stakeholder engagement, including MPs and Councillors.

* Prepare reports for senior leadership and contribute to wider property management activities.

* Attend evening or weekend meetings when required and travel to sites as part of the role.

About You

You bring a blend of technical understanding, people skills and project awareness. The person specification highlights several strengths that will help you succeed:

Essential Experience

* 18+ months in a Managing Agent or Leaseholder Engagement Officer role, ideally in housing.

* At least 2 years’ experience in diary management, report writing, documentation, systems oversight and performance reporting.

* At least 5 years’ experience in resident liaison for large, complex refurbishment or remedial works.

* Strong background in property management/housing and managing third‑party relationships.

Knowledge & Skills

* Excellent time management, prioritisation and organisational skills.

* Strong analytical and research capability.

* High‑level IT user across Microsoft Office and databases, with willingness to learn systems such as Dynamics/CRM, IPOS, Orchard and Integrator.

* Ability to empathise with residents and communicate clearly with diverse audiences.

* Confidence interpreting leases, service level agreements and landlord obligations (repairs, servicing, Section 20, TSMs).

* Understanding of statutory compliance requirements.

Desirable

* Experience delivering small projects or managing project interdependencies.

* Ability to motivate individuals and groups.

* Innovative approach to resident engagement, especially around capital defect remediation.
