Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Teaching Assistant at this Special School, you will play a vital role in supporting students with SEN in their educational and personal development. Your passion for education and your commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of these exceptional young individuals will be highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist classroom teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN, ensuring they have access to the curriculum and the opportunity to progress.
Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social and emotional development.
Assist with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
Collaborate with the teaching team and other professionals to assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
Support students during activities, including personal care and physical activities as required.Qualifications and Skills:
A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
Relevant experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
A commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.Additional Information:
Working hours: Full-time position (37.5 hours per week).
