Experienced SEN Teacher - ASD Specialist

Hounslow, London

Perm & 1-year contracts are available

Main pay scale for teachers (dependent on experience)

Realise Education is seeking dedicated SEN Teachers with expertise in working with children and young adults on the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

We currently have an array of exciting opportunities available for Perm & 1 year contract roles in SEN schools across various key stages.

Role Overview:

As an SEN Teacher, you will lead, deliver, and coordinate lessons and curriculum tailored to students with ASD and significant communication difficulties. Your commitment to ensuring pupils make progress and reach their potential through engaging and stimulating teaching will be paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspiring and engaging with children or young adults with autism.

Assessing individual learning needs and working on a group basis.

Evaluating and reporting on individual pupils' progress.

Collaborating with parents, carers, and professionals such as mainstream teachers, education welfare officers, social workers, and healthcare professionals.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a UK recognized teaching qualification for secondary level.

Experience with PECs and Makaton.

Ability to differentiate work based on students' needs and abilities.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other staff members.

Initiative and ability to work well under pressure.

Recent experience teaching SEN students.

Training in TEACCH, Team Teach/MAPPA.
