Here at TeacherActive we are proud to be working with SEND schools around the UK, I am currently hiring for a SEND school in Shirebrook. The school provide care and education for children and young people (ages 2 – 19 years old) with severe, profound and complex learning difficulties and disabilities, sensory impairments, communication disorders and autism.

Day-to-day tasks
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you could:
Prepare learning materials
Adapt teaching support according to students needs
Look after children’s physical, social and emotional welfare
Create an interesting environment for students
Work with other outside agencies / professionals such as speech and language therapists
The successful Special Educational Needs / SEN TA will have:
Experience working with children / young people with additional needs
Experience working with children / young people with Social, Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behaviours
Level 2 or 3 CACHE or equivalent
