Job Title: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)

Location: Bedford, UK

Salary: £85-£95 per day

Contract: Full-time, temporary

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm

Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our team in Bedford. As a SEN TA, you will work closely with students with a range of special educational needs, providing tailored support to help them achieve their full potential. You will assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs), support classroom activities, and provide one-on-one assistance as required. Your role will be pivotal in creating an inclusive learning environment where every student feels supported and valued.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs, both in the classroom and during individual sessions.
Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
Support the teacher in planning and delivering lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student feels encouraged to participate and succeed.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure the holistic development of students.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders.
Requirements:

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or SEN TA, preferably in a similar setting.
A genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs and a commitment to inclusive education.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
Patience, empathy, and resilience when faced with challenging situations.
Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs would be advantageous but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
