Spanish Teacher (Secondary School - Greenwich, London)

A well-regarded secondary school in the Greenwich area is seeking a passionate and dedicated Spanish Teacher to join its Modern Foreign Languages department from September.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5 for the right candidate. The successful applicant will join a supportive and forward-thinking team committed to delivering high-quality language education and fostering a love of Spanish language and culture.

Start Date: September
Location: Greenwich, South East London
Contract Type: Full-time, permanent (or long-term supply considered)

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging Spanish lessons across KS3-KS4 (KS5 desirable)
Assess, track, and report on student progress in line with school policies
Develop students' speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in Spanish
Contribute to curriculum development within the MFL department
Support a positive learning environment that promotes high achievement and inclusivity

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
Strong subject knowledge in Spanish and confidence teaching grammar and communication skills
Experience teaching Spanish at secondary level (ECTs are welcome to apply)
A commitment to raising attainment and inspiring a love of languages
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
