Sous Chef - Royston
PPM Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Sous Chef to join our client's kitchen team.
Position: Sous Chef
Pay Rate: up to £17.48p/h inc hol pay
Hours: 40 hours per week
Job Type: Temporary / Permanent opportunities may be available
The Role
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and wider kitchen team in delivering a high standard of food and service.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
Prepare and cook food to a consistently high standard
Support the kitchen team during busy service periods
Ensure food is prepared and presented correctly
Maintain high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness
Assist with stock rotation and stock control
Minimise food waste and maintain good kitchen organisation
Follow all health & safety and food hygiene procedures
Support junior members of the kitchen team
Help ensure the smooth running of the kitchenAbout You
Previous experience working as a Sous Chef or experienced Chef
Good knowledge of food preparation and cooking
Understanding of food hygiene and health & safety
Able to work well under pressure
Reliable, hardworking and organised
Good communication and teamwork skills
