Key Responsibilities
As Sous Chef, you'll play an important part in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, working alongside the Head Chef to maintain high standards and deliver a great dining experience.
Support the Head Chef with the smooth running of kitchen operations
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes consistently
Help lead, motivate and support the kitchen team during busy services
Maintain excellent food hygiene, health and safety standards
Assist with stock control, ordering and minimising food waste
Ensure food preparation and presentation meet the required standards
Help create a positive and organised working environment
What we're looking for
We're keen to hear from a Chef who enjoys working as part of a team and is ready to take on responsibility in a busy kitchen.
Previous experience as a Sous Chef or a strong Chef de Partie ready to step up
A passion for fresh food, quality and consistency
Confidence supporting and motivating a kitchen team
Good knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety
The ability to stay organised and calm during busy services
A reliable, positive attitude and a hands-on approach
The ability to travel to the Christchurch area for work
Location and accessibility
This opportunity could suit Chefs based in Christchurch, Bournemouth, Poole, New Milton, Highcliffe, Lymington and the wider Dorset and Hampshire areas. Southampton may also be an option for candidates happy to commute, depending on their transport and shift times.
