Sous Chef - Menstrie, Scotland

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Salary: Starting from £14 per hour

Major Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sous Chef to join our clients canteen team at a food manufacturing site in Menstrie, Scotland. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for food preparation and an eye for detail to contribute to the daily operations of our clients canteen, providing delicious meals for their on-site staff. This is a straightforward and enjoyable shift with a supportive team environment, and we are looking for someone to start as soon as possible on an on-going basis.

Key Responsibilities:

* Food Preparation: Follow recipes meticulously to prepare and cook breakfast and lunch meals for staff. The typical service will cater to around 30-35 meals per day.

* Menu Execution: Ensure all dishes are prepared to a high standard, maintaining consistency and quality.

* Kitchen Management: Assist with maintaining a clean and organised kitchen, adhering to all health and safety regulations.

* Team Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during operating hours.

* Efficiency: Manage time effectively to ensure all meals are ready and served promptly.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a professional kitchen environment.

* Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques and kitchen safety.

* Ability to follow recipes accurately and replicate dishes consistently.

* Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

* High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaing high standards of hygiene and food safety.

* Punctuality and reliability, with the ability to work the specified hours (Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM)
