Description:

Sous Chef required for a term time only position based at an elite education establsihent. The role is term time only working Mon to Friday 10.30am-7pm. You will also be required to work 8 Saturdays during the academic year. This role is solely responsible for the preparation of the whole evening meal for the boarding pupils and staff.

Duties will include:

Prepare and cook evening supper for boarders and staff

Breakfast and lunch mise en place

Menu design/ planning/ pop up/ theme nights

Liaising with borders and staff in regard to menu design

Assist pastry chef with baking items

Support Head Chef with stock takes as required.

Be passionate about food and developing new food trends/ styles at location

Be compliant from both a food safety and health and safety viewpoint as per company requirements

Compile all food orders for your section

Ensure all deliveries are checked and recorded in line with company policy
