Role
I am currently looking for a Sous Chef to work in a busy country pub in the Hertfordshire area. The pub offers tradidtional English and Continental cuisine and Sunday roast. Ideal candidate should have experience of working as a Sous Chef, have a professional approach and have an abiity to work under presuure in busy periods. The pub is located in a rural area so access to car is essential.
Job description
* Assist the chef in the day to day running of the kitchen
* Assisting with the ordering of food and ensure close management of stock & labour efficiency
* Cooking and preparing high quality dishes
* Assisting the chef to create menus, recipes and develop dishes
* Ensure kitchen is clean and tidy ensure all health & hygiene procedures are adhered to
Qulifications
* City and Guild in professional cookery (Preferable)
* Valid food hygiene certificate
