The Role

We're looking for an experienced Supply Chain Operations Manager to lead strategic sourcing and end-to-end supply chain delivery. You'll own everything from supplier strategy and capital procurement through to logistics, inventory optimisation, and customer fulfilment, driving operational resilience, cost efficiency, and growth.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll shape how the supply chain works, build long-term supplier partnerships and deliver measurable results across cost, quality, delivery, and risk.

What You'll Do

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
Lead capital equipment sourcing from RFQ through contract execution. Analyse market trends and supplier capabilities to identify savings and value opportunities. Build and manage preferred supplier frameworks that support long-term business objectives.

End-to-End Supply Chain Leadership
Own demand forecasting and S&OP planning. Oversee supplier performance and cost management. Ensure efficient manufacturing execution, timely logistics, and inventory optimisation. Deliver high on-time, in-full (OTIF) customer service.

Project & Stakeholder Partnership
Support capital investment initiatives from concept through delivery. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams to ensure procurement supports project timelines and budgets.

Supplier Relationship Management
Identify and develop strategic suppliers globally. Drive supplier performance through KPIs and continuous improvement. Negotiate optimal pricing, delivery terms, warranties, and service agreements.

Cost, Risk & Compliance
Deliver cost savings and cost avoidance targets. Conduct total cost of ownership (TCO) analyses. Identify and mitigate supply chain risks — capacity, geopolitical, compliance. Ensure governance and ethical sourcing standards are met.

Continuous Improvement
Drive process improvement and digital adoption. Support sustainability and ESG initiatives in supplier selection.

Team Leadership
Coach and develop your team. Set departmental objectives, track KPIs, conduct 1-to-1s, and manage performance. Foster a culture of trust, communication, and accountability.

What We're Looking For

Experience

* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.

* Extensive procurement or sourcing experience, ideally with capital equipment or CapEx projects.

* Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes (fabrication, machining, moulding, surface treatment).

* Hands-on experience with GD&T, metrology, and testing equipment

Skills & Abilities

* Proven strategic sourcing and project management expertise.

* Lean tools and continuous improvement proficiency.

* Strong negotiation and commercial acumen.

* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication.

* Risk assessment and problem-solving capability.

* Supplier relationship and performance management experience

Desirable

* Professional certifications (CIPS, CPSM)

Why Join Us

You'll lead a strategic function that directly impacts our operational performance and growth. This role offers genuine scope to build supplier partnerships, optimise our supply base, and shape how we deliver for our customers. You'll work with a collaborative cross-functional team and have the autonomy to drive continuous improvement across cost, quality, and delivery
