Solar Installer / Site Supervisor

Location: South West / UK Travel

We are looking for an experienced Solar Installer / Site Supervisor to join a growing renewable energy business delivering solar and renewable energy installations across the South West and wider UK.

This is a hands-on position combining solar installation with responsibility for supervising site teams, coordinating projects and ensuring installations are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.

The Role

As a Solar Installer / Site Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

Supervising teams installing renewable energy systems on commercial properties
Supporting the planning, installation and commissioning of solar and renewable energy systems
Coordinating labour, materials and site logistics
Ensuring equipment and materials are available on site when required
Monitoring project progress, costs and installation quality
Liaising with clients, contractors and other trades
Identifying and reporting changes to project scope
Carrying out pre-installation and post-installation checks
Ensuring installations comply with current regulations and company standards
Completing site reports and project documentation
Carrying out risk assessments and maintaining safe working practices
Supporting the Operations Manager with site-level project deliveryThe Solar Installer / Site Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring teams understand the required scope of work and have the equipment, materials and information needed to complete each installation.

The Person

We are looking for a Solar Installer / Site Supervisor with:

Previous solar installation experience
Previous site supervision experience
Experience working with renewable energy systems
Good understanding of site health and safety
Experience supervising and coordinating installation teams
Strong planning and organisational skills
Good communication and customer-facing skills
Full UK driving licenceYou should be comfortable taking responsibility for site activities and dealing with issues as they arise.

The successful Solar Installer / Site Supervisor will need to be flexible regarding travel. Projects are delivered throughout the South West and across the UK, so regular working away from home will be required.

Experience

Applicants should have at least one year's experience in solar installation and one year's experience supervising work on site.

The position would particularly suit a Solar Installer / Site Supervisor who still enjoys being involved with installations but is looking to take greater responsibility for teams and project delivery.
