We're looking for a mid level developer to join a well-established retail organisation undergoing an exciting period of technology transformation. As part of a newly evolving Group IT function, you'll become the key developer for a cloud-based integration platform connecting key business systems.

This is a backend-focused development role where you'll take ownership of an existing integration layer, continuing its development while maintaining and enhancing the services already in production.

Working closely with architects and senior engineers, you'll:

Develop and enhance cloud-native integration services using TypeScript and Node.js
Build and maintain AWS serverless applications using services such as Lambda, EventBridge, API Gateway and DynamoDB
Develop new integration capabilities between business-critical systems, including Shopify
Investigate and resolve issues across APIs and integration services
Contribute to infrastructure improvements using Terraform
Work with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT or Codex to accelerate delivery while maintaining high engineering standards
Collaborate with a growing engineering team as the organisation continues investing in its cloud platform
We're particularly interested in people with experience of:

TypeScript and Node.js
Building APIs and backend services
AWS serverless technologies (Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, DynamoDB, S3)
Git and modern software development practices
Testing and debugging distributed applications
AI-assisted software development tools
You'll be confident delivering production code independently while working alongside experienced senior engineers who will provide technical direction and support your continued development.

This a hybrid role with travel to 2 office locations - 1 day per week in Leamington Spa and 1 day per week in Deborough, with 3 days working from home.
