* A genuine interest in software development and nuclear energy both technically and environmentally.
* 2+ years post grad programming experience

Role information:
We are looking for Software Analysts/Designers/Engineers with a degree in same or similar, to work in our Application Support department. This team is responsible for maintaining the software that controls and monitors nuclear fuel manufacture, uranic movements and uranic accounts on site. We are planning a significant amount of work for the next one to two years to enhance existing systems in support of the UK Nuclear Energy Resurgence & Net Zero and need excellent software people to deliver this.

The site has the technology to manufacture fuel for all major designs of nuclear reactors worldwide. Most of the fuel requirements for the UK's nuclear power stations are met by the client and around 15% of all the electricity generated in the UK comes from power stations using nuclear fuel manufactured at Site.

Please note my client uses HP GL380 servers running Windows OS, an Oracle database with FAST/Tools SCADA and Visual C & Uniface bespoke software. While Uniface would be an amazing bonus we only need candidates to have C. The primary activity is analysis of the existing design & code to determine how to make it more flexible for future fuel types and reduce the amount of recoding we have to do for such changes.

Main activities include:
* Manufacture of oxide fuels for Advanced Gas-cooled and Light Water Reactors, as well as intermediate fuel products, such as powders, granules and pellets
* Uranium recovery services
* Decommissioning and demolition of redundant plants and buildings

Please note the successful candidate will be required to undergo enhanced security clearance before they can start.
