Description:
Permanent, full time, hybrid role in Newcastle NE4 - Software Engineer within a manufacturing company.
£60,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience
37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday
26 days holiday per annum plus Bank Holidays - increasing to 29 days with long service

About the job
Working closely with others as part of a team developing battery management systems
Writing and verifying high reliability software
Develop and document coding practices
Leading and supporting code reviews
Helping develop software specifications and producing clear documentation
The right candidate
Minimum 4 years experience of BMS algorithm development using embedded C and/or SIMULINK
Happy to travel to other sites within the UK for onsite testing
Experience with battery systems - simulation and modelling
Experienced at embedded software and firmware development and embedded communication protocols such as CAN bus, SPI and I2C
Familiar with peer review and version control systems such as BitBucket
