Software Engineer (UI Development with C++ and Qt)
Contract role
Initial 6 months (with likely extension to 12 months)
£400-£500 p/d (Negotiable)

Are you a seasoned C++ developer with QT framework experience? Join a forward-thinking team in the heart of a top-tier media company, dominating the industry.

In this project, you will develop and maintain the UI for set-top boxes using C++ and the Qt Framework, utilizing modern C++ standards (C++14 and above) in software development. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and test new features, while advocating and implementing modern testing practices, with a preference for Python-based testing frameworks. Additionally, you will drive improvements in the software development lifecycle, particularly in CI/CD processes, and lead initiatives to enhance UI frameworks and adopt modern C++ practices.

Qualifications:

Strong proficiency in C++ development; experience with C++14 is advantageous but not essential.
Extensive experience with the Qt Framework for UI development.
Proven track record in modern software testing methodologies, preferably with experience in Python.
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools.
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, with excellent teamwork and communication skills.
