Location: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire

Contract: Full-time/Part-time (Temporary to Permanent)

Salary: £29344 – £44919 (MPS/UPS)

Deliver engaging Sociology lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5.
Encourage students to critically analyse social structures, contemporary issues, and sociological theories.
Plan and deliver well-structured lessons that challenge and support learners of all abilities.
Assess and monitor student progress, using data effectively to inform teaching and improve outcomes.
Create a positive, inclusive, and focused classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
Contribute to the development of the Sociology curriculum and wider Humanities department initiatives.
Support enrichment opportunities, debates, social research projects, and educational visits where appropriate.
What the school is looking for

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience teaching Sociology in a secondary school or sixth form setting.
Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for the social sciences.
The ability to engage, motivate, and inspire students of varying abilities.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
A reflective practitioner committed to ongoing professional development and raising standards.
