SOCIOLOGY TEACHER – MATERNITY COVER

0.6 FTE (3 days per week) | Maternity Cover | Start after October Half Term | £150–£240 per day (dependent on experience and role) | Kent & Medway
About the Role and Key Responsibilities
TailorEDucation is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Sociology Teacher to join one of our partner schools Medway on a 0.6 FTE maternity cover contract, starting after the October half term.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Sociology to Year 10 and Year 12 students, delivering engaging and well-planned lessons that support pupils to develop their knowledge, understanding and critical thinking skills.
You will be expected to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, monitor pupil progress and contribute to the wider life of the department and school.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sociology Teacher looking for a part-time teaching position within a supportive school environment.

The Ideal Candidate Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
QTS or equivalent
Experience teaching Sociology at secondary level
Experience teaching GCSE and/or A Level Sociology
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Sociology
Excellent classroom management skills
The ability to plan and deliver engaging, purposeful lessons
A commitment to supporting pupils' progress and development
UK teaching experience
