Job Title: Social Worker - Safeguarding Team
Location: Oldham
Hourly Rate: £39.00 per hour
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team in Oldham. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people in our community by providing expert support and intervention in safeguarding cases.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments of children and families to identify risks and formulate protection plans.
Develop, implement, and review care plans to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
Work collaboratively with children, families, and multi-agency professionals to provide comprehensive safeguarding services.
Provide direct support and intervention to children and families in crisis or at risk of harm.
Chair and participate in multi-agency meetings, including child protection conferences and strategy meetings.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements and organizational policies.
Offer guidance, support, and mentoring to less experienced team members as needed.Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker with a degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
Registered with Social Work England.
Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding within a statutory setting.
Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
