Position: Social Worker
Salary: £35 per hour
Barnsley Council is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our Children Assessment Team on a part-time basis (2.5 days per week). This role offers a flexible opportunity to contribute to the assessment and support of children and families in Barnsley.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families referred to the team.
Developing and implementing care plans based on assessment findings and in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.
Providing support and intervention to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
Collaborating effectively with partner agencies and professionals to coordinate holistic support for families.Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker with experience in children's services and assessment work.
Registered with Social Work England (or eligible for registration).
Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach.
