Role:  Qualified Social Worker  

Location:  East London

Team: Mental Health Adults Social Care Access team

Pay:  up to £32

Contract: Full-Time Locum

In the office: Hybrid

We are a dedicated team within Mental Health Adults Social Care Access, committed to providing comprehensive support and assistance to individuals facing mental health challenges. Our mission is to ensure that every individual receives the care and support they need to lead fulfilling lives.

As a Social Worker within our team, you will play a pivotal role in conducting assessments, attending hearings, and advocating for individuals within the social care system. Your duties will include:

Conducting assessments in accordance with the Social Care Act, ensuring that the needs of individuals are thoroughly evaluated and appropriate support plans are developed.

Compiling and attending Tribunal and Social Circumstances hearings, providing valuable input and representation for individuals within the legal system.

Conducting safeguarding investigations under section 42, ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals.

Collaborating with the Primary Care Network to provide holistic care and support to individuals within the community.

If you are an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP), you will also participate in the AMHP duty rota, providing timely and effective responses to mental health crises.

Conducting reviews of support plans and negotiating for funding to ensure individuals receive the necessary packages of support to meet their needs.

Requirements:

Qualified Social Worker with relevant experience in mental health social care.

Registration with social Work England.

Experience conducting assessments and participating in legal proceedings related to social care.

Strong communication and advocacy skills, with the ability to effectively represent individuals' interests.

Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and with external partners.

If applying as an AMHP, AMHP qualification is required.
