Job Title: Family Safeguarding Social Worker
Location: Bury
Hourly Rate: £39.00 per hour
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Family Safeguarding Social Worker to join our team in Bury. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work directly with families to ensure the safety and well-being of children and to support families in making positive changes.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs, risks, and strengths.
Develop, implement, and review care plans that promote the safety and welfare of children.
Work collaboratively with families, colleagues, and partner agencies to provide holistic support and interventions.
Provide direct support and intervention to families to help them address issues and achieve positive outcomes.
Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, including child protection conferences and core group meetings.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with statutory requirements and organizational policies.
Offer guidance, support, and mentoring to less experienced team members as needed.Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker with a degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
Registered with Social Work England.
Significant experience in family safeguarding or child protection within a statutory setting.
Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
