Location: Calderdale Council
Hourly Rate: £34
Calderdale Council is looking for a committed and experienced Social Worker to join our Duty and Assessment Team. This crucial role involves initial assessments, safeguarding investigations, and providing immediate support to children and families in need.
Key Responsibilities:
Initial Assessments: Conduct thorough initial assessments to identify the needs and risks of children and families.
Safeguarding: Respond promptly to safeguarding concerns, conducting investigations and implementing protection plans as necessary.
Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support and intervention to children and families in crisis situations.
Case Management: Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring timely and effective responses to new referrals and ongoing cases.
Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work closely with other professionals and agencies to deliver coordinated services and support.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reports, and documentation to support case management and legal proceedings.Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker: Must be a registered Social Worker with a recognized qualification.
Experience: Proven experience in duty and assessment, child protection, and safeguarding.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in social work.
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and priorities effectively.
