Job Title: Social Worker - Children with Disabilities Team
Location: Wigan
Hourly Rate: £38.00 per hour
About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities Team in Wigan. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children with disabilities and their families by providing tailored support and intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of children with disabilities and their families to identify needs and develop appropriate care plans.
Implement and review care plans to ensure they meet the individual needs of children and promote their well-being and development.
Provide direct support and guidance to children and their families, addressing any challenges and facilitating access to services.
Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals, including education, health, and voluntary sector partners, to deliver integrated support.
Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, including child in need and child protection conferences.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements and organizational policies.
Offer support and mentoring to less experienced team members as needed.Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker with a degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
Registered with Social Work England.
Significant experience in working with children with disabilities and their families within a statutory setting.
Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
