Are you a passionate Children’s Social Worker who wants to make a real difference in the lives of young people?

We’re looking for dedicated Social Workers to join established teams across West Suffolk, supporting young people in care and care leavers as they navigate the transition into adulthood, independence and a brighter future.

This is a rewarding opportunity to help young people develop essential life skills, achieve their ambitions and build the confidence they need to thrive beyond care.

Working with young people aged 16 and over, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring they receive the right support, guidance and opportunities to take their next steps towards independent living.

???? Earn £35–£40 per hour while making a meaningful difference every day.

???? What You’ll Be Doing

* Managing a caseload of Children in Care and Care Leavers.

* Supporting young people through pathway planning and preparation for independent living.

* Building trusted relationships with young people, families and professionals.

* Completing statutory visits, assessments, reviews and care planning.

* Working collaboratively with housing, education, health and other partner agencies.

* Helping young people access education, employment and training opportunities.

* Supporting successful transitions from care into adulthood and independent living.

* Ensuring care leavers continue to receive appropriate support as they move towards greater independence.

* Maintaining accurate case records and reports in line with statutory requirements.

???? What We’re Looking For

We're keen to hear from Social Workers who are committed to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.

You'll need:

* A recognised Social Work qualification.

* Current registration with Social Work England.

* Experience in Children's Social Care, ideally within Children in Care, Leaving Care or Through Care services.

* A sound understanding of safeguarding, assessment, care planning and risk management.

* Confidence managing complex cases and working independently.

* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

* A collaborative approach and a genuine commitment to helping young people achieve their potential.

* A full driving licence and access to transport.

???? Why Consider This Opportunity?

* Competitive hourly rate: £35–£40 per hour.

* Meaningful work: Make a tangible difference to young people at a crucial stage of their lives.

* Specialist experience: Develop your experience across Children in Care and Leaving Care services.

* Collaborative working: Work alongside professionals committed to improving outcomes for young people.

* Flexible career opportunities: Take on a temporary assignment that builds on your social work experience.

???? Ready to Make a Difference?

If you're an experienced Children's Social Worker who believes every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive, we'd love to hear from you.
