The Role
You will be delivering teaching across a Social Work degree programme, supporting students with their academic development, professional practice and preparation for qualification.
The role will include:
* Delivering engaging lectures, seminars and workshops across the Social Work degree
* Teaching students across Levels 4, 5 and 6
* Planning and delivering high-quality Social Work teaching
* Assessing student work and providing constructive feedback
* Supporting students with their academic and professional development
* Contributing to the development and delivery of course content
* Supporting practice learning and placement activity where required
* Ensuring teaching reflects current Social Work legislation, policy, safeguarding and professional standards
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
* A degree in Social Work
* Current registration with Social Work England (SWE)
* Previous experience teaching a Social Work degree at Higher Education level
* Experience teaching undergraduate Social Work students
* Experience teaching across Level 4, Level 5 and Level 6
* Strong knowledge of current Social Work practice, legislation and professional standards
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to engage and support students from a range of backgrounds
Experience as a Social Work Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Associate Lecturer, Programme Lead, Module Lead or HE Social Work Tutor would be highly relevant.
Important: Applicants must have experience teaching Social Work at degree level. Applications from candidates whose experience is solely within Health & Social Care, Social Care or general FE teaching will not meet the requirements of this position.
