Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced and talented Social Value Coordinator to support the Social Value Manager in delivering various social value activities for construction projects. This role involves creating engaging materials to promote social value initiatives in London, adhering to corporate branding guidelines, and using a range of media, including social networks. 

About the Role:

In this role, you will:

Have a solid understanding of Community Benefits and Social Value, along with the relevant reporting mechanisms.

Provide administrative and reporting support for Social Value activities.

Collect and manage data to measure social outcomes, gathering monthly data from construction sites and uploading it to the Social Value Portal.

Assist in gathering information for tenders, such as council employability strategies, local community groups, activities, and local suppliers, including Third Sector Organisations (TSOs).

Help fulfill section 106 obligations by arranging local employment, work experience, apprenticeships, and T-Level opportunities for local communities where our client operates.

Support project teams to embed and deliver social value opportunities for our projects.

Explore and implement creative and innovative ways to deliver social value activities that benefit the communities we work in.

Build and maintain relationships with key partners and stakeholders.

Organise regular meetings with Supply Chain Partners to discuss social value targets and explore community engagement opportunities for collaboration.

Identify and bring forward social value developments and initiatives from the wider industry for consideration.

Assist the Social Value Manager and site teams in facilitating educational activities such as site visits, including giving presentations to schools, colleges, and community engagement events.

Promote our company as a leader in delivering social value on projects.

Generate and approve marketing materials in line with regional marketing plans:

Collect content, including digital images, for good news stories, social value and site newsletters, project profiles, and case studies.

Create and approve social media posts in line with social value and regional marketing plans.

Upload data on the Social Value Bank for all London construction projects

Ideally, You Will Have:

Experience in Social Value and Community Engagement: Proven experience in the main contracting market, specifically in social value and community engagement activities.

Drive and Confidence: Ability to organise and deliver social value opportunities, such as giving talks in schools or colleges about careers in construction, organising events for local charitable organisations near project sites, and sourcing work experience or apprenticeship opportunities for students on our projects.

Data Measurement and Capture: Strong understanding of the importance of measuring and capturing social value data effectively.

Desirable: Knowledge of implementing section 106 obligations on construction projects
