About the role

We are looking to recruit for a Social Care Worker for our care home Trescott Road, Northfield, Birmingham. We are looking for someone to join our team in supporting customers who have learning disabilities, additional health, mobility and physical support needs.

The role is permanent opportunity covering a variety of shifts been a mixture of hours to include weekends and bank holidays and may change depending on service requirement.

About You

We are looking for highly motivated individual who would like to join our team in order to deliver good quality service to vulnerable adults. You will be responsible for looking after service users and supporting them with their daily requirements.

We are looking for confident, positive, and enthusiastic social care workers to support adults with learning disabilities and other complex needs in all aspects of daily living. Your focus will be to help your customers lead a happy and fulfilled life, whilst promoting independence.

Responsibilities will include:

Medication support

Personal Care

Food Shopping

Supporting with day to day tasks and promoting independence

Assist with preparation of meals, drinks, and snacks

Emotional Support

Job Requirements:

Previous care experience, ideally within a similar role – working with adults with learning disabilities / autism / mental health issues.

Fully flexible, across 7 days as all shifts are worked on a rota basis. (This will include long, short days and weekends)

Be willing and able to participate in daily activities which could include swimming, bowling, arts & crafts etc.

Be able to follow a detailed care plan along with completing daily logs.

Must hold a Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification and must be willing to commit to continuous professional development.
