Salary: up to £34,000 (DOE)

We've partnered with a renowned independent insurance broker to help them find an experienced SME Insurance Broker to join their Manchester team.

The Role:
For Clients

* Provides prompt and accurate technical support to service an existing client base (e.g. negotiating terms, administering policies, dealing with adjustments)

* Accesses the insurer market on the client’s behalf to access competitive terms or speedy resolution to client queries wherever possible.

* Ensures that all documentation produced for the client is accurate and issued within deadlines.

* Determining broking strategy and programme design in conjunction with Client Service colleagues.

* When appropriate coordinates with Claims department to ensure speedy settlement of claims.

* Works in accordance with Compliance requirements on each client account.

* Involvement in new business development.

Other responsibilities

* Develop a wide understanding of insurer appetite and help disseminate this to the rest of the divisional team

* Ensure compliance with procedures

* As required take on project and development work where technical input is required

What is required to be considered?

* Experienced in the insurance industry with proven and consistent experience in Account management/Broking

* Developed understanding of the insurance market

* Understanding of Programme design

* Client-focussed, highly professional and motivated

* Well organised with good time management

* Ability and willingness to work well within a team

* Understanding of typical Corporate client business and risk issues

* Awareness of risk control capabilities

* Experience of using Acturis is desirable

* Ideally working towards or ACII qualified
