Small Business Loan Advisor
Location: Reading
Salary: £32,000–£40,000 DOE

We are looking for a Small Business Loan Advisor to support applicants through the Start-Up Loan process, helping them develop their business ideas and assess funding applications.

Key Responsibilities

Manage applicants throughout the Start-Up Loan application process.
Review business plans, financial forecasts and supporting documentation.
Assess affordability, cash flow and overall business viability.
Make funding recommendations in line with credit policies.
Provide advice and guidance to applicants.
Maintain accurate CRM records and work towards KPIs and targets.
Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.

About You

Strong communication skills and commercial awareness.
Confident analysing financial information and assessing applications.
Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
Experience using CRM systems such as Zoho or Salesforce.
Self-motivated, target-driven and able to use initiative.
Experience in business planning, lending, credit assessment or loan approvals is highly desirable.
Banking, financial services or start-up advisory experience would be advantageous.
