This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced qualified Vet, who is looking to step up and mentor, or a New graduate looking for a supportive and experienced team. Being on the coast offers other animals such as sea life and wildlife also, if you have an interest in this area, then look no further.
You need to be compassionate and enthusiastic, committed to providing high standards of patient care, and hold RCVS. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience, this is not essential, but preferred. The practice would consider applications from all levels of experience. For them it's about the person, qualifications are a must but experience can be gained, and you will have wonderful support and mentorship in abundance here.
This role is offered permanently at 4 days per week, working one night per week on call and one weekend in four on call also.
The practice is mixed, you will need to be adaptable and capable. This role is for a Small Animal Vet but if you have interests in some farm and equine, you can get involved. You will be working a varied caseload and be confident in consults and surgeries.
The practice is looking for a team player, who believes communication and trust are very important for owners and therefore will endeavour to excel in this respect. It focuses on development and boosts excellent facilities and a supportive, great team environment. Offering minimum 15-minute appts for routine health checks and vaccines but 30min PTS/skin or other. Time for admin, regular breaks, and a strong work-life balance also.
The location of Whitby is not only on the doorstep of the Yorkshire moorlands, making it a popular destination for country walks, but it has breathtaking views, as well as beautiful beaches and harbour, this location is simply stunning.
