SLITTING OPERATOR WEST YORKSHIRE

£OPEN DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

Rotating Shifts: You will be paid for 48 hours but finish at 12pm or 2pm (time depending on workload)

Monday To Thursday 6am - 6pm (Thursday finish at 12pm or 2pm)
Tuesday To Friday 6am - 6pm (Friday finish at 12pm or 2pm)My client is a well established Flexible Packaging company based in West Yorkshire.

They are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Slitting Operator to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining slitting machinery, ensuring products are produced efficiently, safely and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Set up, operate and monitor slitting machines in line with production schedules and customer specifications.
Ensure machine settings, materials and tooling are correct before commencing production.
Carry out quality inspections throughout the production process and accurately record results.
Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain efficiency and product quality.
Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
Identify and resolve minor machine faults and escalate issues when necessary.
Minimise waste and downtime through effective machine operation.
Complete production documentation accurately and on time.
Adhere to all health, safety, quality and environmental procedures.
Maintain a clean and organised working area at all times.Skills & Experience

Previous experience operating slitting, rewinding, or similar converting machinery.
Experience within packaging, print, manufacturing or FMCG environments is desirable.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
Ability to read and interpret job specifications and production instructions.
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Basic computer literacy and production reporting experience would be advantageous
