Description:
Our client, a prominent player in the water sector, is currently seeking a Slinger/Lift Supervisor to join their team in Springwell, Gateshead. This is a contract position for a duration of 6 months with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinating and supervising lifting operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations
Communicating effectively with crane operators to guide the precise movement of loads
Conducting safety briefings and ensuring all lifting activities are performed according to established guidelines
Inspecting lifting equipment to ensure it is in good working condition before use
Maintaining accurate records of lifting operations and equipment inspections
Collaborating with site management to plan and execute lifting tasks efficiently
Providing training and guidance to lifting personnel to enhance operational safety and efficiency
Addressing any on-site issues promptly to minimise delays and ensure project continuity
Job Requirements:
Experience in slinger and lifting operations, particularly within the water sector
CPCS Blue Slinger/Signaller (all types all duties) with Crane Supervisor
Strong understanding of safety protocols related to lifting activities
Excellent communication skills for clear coordination with team members and crane operators
Ability to inspect and identify potential issues with lifting equipment
Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in lifting operations
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a collaborative team environment
Relevant certification or qualification in lifting operations is preferred
