The Opportunity:

As a Freelance Slinger, you will play a vital role in the safe and efficient movement of materials and equipment on site, working closely with crane operators and other construction personnel. This is your chance to contribute to the success of a high-profile project while working with a reputable client.

Key Responsibilities:

* Direct and guide crane operators to ensure the safe lifting, manoeuvring, and positioning of loads

* Conduct thorough pre-lift checks and risk assessments to guarantee safe lifting operations

* Rig and attach loads to the crane using appropriate slinging techniques, ensuring secure and balanced lifting

* Comply with all relevant health and safety regulations, fostering a culture of safety awareness on site

* Maintain clear and effective communication with the project team, particularly crane operators and ground workers

* Inspect and maintain lifting equipment and accessories, reporting any defects or issues promptly

Qualifications & Experience:

* Proven experience as a Slinger, preferably within the construction or civil engineering sectors

* A valid CPCS with a Slinger/Signaller endorsement is essential

* Excellent understanding of safe lifting practices and relevant health and safety regulations

* Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

* A commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment
