Skilled Structural MIG Welder – Winsford
Ambitek is currently recruiting experienced Skilled Structural MIG Welders to join our client’s busy fabrication team in Winsford.
This is a long-term contracting opportunity offering excellent rates, consistent work and the chance to join an established fabrication environment. We are looking for reliable, skilled welders with proven experience in structural steel fabrication.
Key Responsibilities
* MIG welding structural steel beams and end plates.
* Using solid-wire MIG in the down-hand position.
* Completing 10mm T-joint multi-run fillet welds, including start/stop operations.
* Working accurately from engineering drawings and welding specifications.
* Maintaining consistently high standards of weld quality.
* Working safely and in accordance with site and workshop procedures.
Requirements
* Proven experience in structural MIG welding, ideally within a fabrication environment.
* Demonstrable ability to complete a 10mm multi-run T-joint fillet weld to a high standard.
* Must be able to successfully pass a trade test prior to starting.
* Good understanding of engineering drawings and welding specifications.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.

Working Hours
* Monday to Thursday: 07:45 – 16:45
* Friday: 07:45 – 12:45
* Overtime: Available after 39 hours at an enhanced rate.
Important Information
This is a long-term contracting position and is not a permanent role.
